Here are some images from a self portrait model that I am currently working on.
The basic polygonal mesh is being built in Maya. At a later date it will be edited in Zbrush, but I like to get a basic form with clean edge loops done in Maya first. It should make further editing much simpler. The current “eyes” are placeholders to model around. I will be moving on to texturing as well as rigging soon.

Bout time you updated… TSK TSK!
I’ll be happy to see how you handle zbrush. Are you going for hyper-real or stylized? BTW not sure if you’re aware, but watch your poly distribution. If things aren’t evenly distributed then you’ll be in for a world of hurt and annoyance when you get into zbrushes higher subd levels.
I will probably create both versions, realistic and stylized, eventually. Tell me more about your thoughts on poly distribution. Does the wire view you see here look like I will run into problems?
No, it should be fine, everything looks evenly space. The most you’ll see is some slight pinching (I doubt you’ll even see that) maybe between the brows but the smooth brush should take care of that.
