The Art of Shinjo Ito in Florence, Italy

Wandering through Florence one night we saw this from the road:

I took a gang of shots and even attempted to bracket my shots and create a HDR image.(more on that later) We came back the next day and saw that the show was in town and proceeded to find the gallery because it looked like this would be dope!

It was. The artist is named Shinjo Ito. These little guys and parinirvana were out front.

You weren’t supposed to take pictures inside the gallery. (learned that after this shot)

So I pulled out my sketchbook and got these done. There was a lot more work there, but regrettably we didn’t have a lot of time to linger. I did bring home a hard-bound program of the exhibition and a hard-bound book of his philosophy. Both for 10 euro each. Very good stuff.

This demo reel showcases some of the work I have been involved in. Unless otherwise indicated, I did all of the work presented. I work in 3D animation, primarily using Maya currently. I also am quite familiar with 3D Studio and to a lesser extent SoftImage XSI. I am extremely proficient in many of the Adobe Creative Suite applications.
